Japan left nothing to doubt right from the word go marching to a 83-50 win over Korea in the Semi-Finals of the 22nd FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women on Thursday. Japan's fifth successive Finals appearance also punches them a ticket to the 11th FIBA World U19 Championship for Women to be held in Russia.

Malaysian basketball lost a dedicated coach of the grassroots level basketball with the passing away of Kevin Koh Liang Xing due to cardiac insufficiency on Tuesday. He was 36 and a bachelor.
