NHA TRANG CITY, Vietnam (2nd FIBA Asia U16 Championship): Philippines asserted their SEABA supremacy in a convincing manner beating Indonesia 93-30 in Group D on Wednesday.
In repeat clash of the race to the title at the SEABA U16 Championship at Banting, from where the two qualified for the 2nd FIBA Asia U16 Championship, Philippines did an encore with their victory.
Rizky Indraprasto’s drive in the lane opened the scoring for the game, but that was the only moment of lead Indonesia enjoyed for the remainder.
Philippines replied with 10 unanswered points to take the game away from their SEABA neighbors.
Coach Olsen Racela used all the players for more than 10 minutes each and all of them scored for Philippines. Kyles Lao’s 15 points was the highest.
Indonesia, thus wound up their outings in the Preliminary Round with a 1-1 record.
