DAMASCUS, Syria (Syrian D1 League): Al Jala’a of Aleppo retained their Syrian D1 League title with a 2-0 clean sweep of their 2011-12 Finals series against Al Ittihad.

Jala’a, who had won Game 1 89-82, came into their own in the second quarter of Game and coasted along to with 77-72.

Trailing 17-28 at the end of the first quarter, Jala’a found their rhythm and control of the game with a 25-13 run in the second. There was little trouble for them after that.
