QBF Women’s League: Team Qatar win inaugural title
 

DOHA, Qatar (QBF): Team Qatar defeated Go Sport Fear 38-35 to emerge triumphant in the inaugural Qatar Basketball Federation Women’s League on Sunday. Eagles defeated CNAQ 44-42 in Overtime to take the third place.

Amal Mohammed led Team Qatar’s victory with 13 points. Warda Murgan had 10 points.

Team Qatar were awarded a cheque of 12,000 QR (approx USD 3,200) for their efforts.

Ranin Peters led all scorers with 15 points for Go Sport, but her battle was lonely and therefore in a losing cause.

Go Sport were richer by 8,000 QR (approx USD 2,200).

“This is a great start and we’re sure the league will grow in the coming years. We promise them all support in the coming days,” said QBF President Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani after giving away the prizes.
