BEIJING, China (2012 London Olympics): The final rosters of the Chinese men’s and women’s basketball teams were unveiled on Tuesday as a part of the presentation of the 396-member Chinese delegation to the quadrennial sport extravaganza of the world.
The rosters
Men: Zhang Zhaoxu (Shanghai Sharks), Zhou Peng, Zhu Fangyu, Wang Shipeng, Chen Jianghua (all Guangdong Southern Tigers), Yi Jianlian (Dallas Mavericks), Wang Zhizhi (Bayi Rockets), Yi Li (Jiangsu Dragons), Ding Jinhui (Zhejiang Cyclones), Sun Yue (Beijing Ducks), Liu Wei (Shanghai Sharks), Guo Ailun (Liaoning Hunters).
Women: Song Xiaoyun, Chen Nan (both Bayi Kylin), Ma Zengyu, Chen Xiaoli (both Liaoning Hengye), Ji Yanyan, Gao Song (both Heilongjiang Chenneng), Miao Lijie, Zhao Shuang (both Shenyang Golden Lions), Guan Xin, Wei Wei (both Guangdong Dolphins), Li Shanshan (Jiangsu Phoenix), Zhang Fan (Beijing Great Wall),
Chinese men, under coach Bob Donewald Jr. (top in the combo pic above) qualified for the 2012 London Olympics by virtue of winning the gold medal at the 26th FIBA Asia Championship last year.
At the 2012 London Olympics, Chinese men are drawn with FIBA Oceania champions Australia, 2011 FIBA Americas Championship silver medalists Brazil, 2011 Eurobasket champions and 2008 Beijing Olympics silver medalists Spain, hosts Great Britain and former Eurobasket champions Russia in Group B of the Prelim Round.
China, aiming for a maiden semifinal entry, tip off their campaign with a game against Spain on July 29.

The Chinese women, under coach Sun Fengwu (bottom in the combo pic above) made the 2012 London Olympics grade by winning the gold medal at the 24th FIBA Asia Championship for Women at Omura last year.
The Chinese women are drawn with FIBA Africa champions Angola, defending Olympic gold medalists USA, 2010 FIBA World Championship for Women runners-up Czech Republic, Eurobasket Women 2011 silver medalists Turkey and Croatia in Group A of the Prelim Round at the 2012 London Olympics.
The Chinese women, a former bronze medalists and a semifinalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics will start their campaign against Czech Republic on July 28.
